Route Library

This is the library of all the Goring Gromils’ favourite routes. You can browse the library or sort it by route type, bike type, distance or climbing, or search for a specific route by typing part of its name. Click on the route name to open it. To find a route in a particular area, go to the Map page and look at route icons near the place you want to visit.
All routes are free to download, using the GPX logo top right of each route’s map panel:

Route Type | |
321 | Circuits in the 5 – 15 mile range, ideal for training or fitness. No guarantee of refreshments en route (but there’s always plenty in Goring!). |
A2B | One-way routes, suitable for commuting or utility journeys. May be combined to give circular routes. |
C2C | Cycle to Cafe – Circular routes from Goring, generally with one or more cafes or pubs en route, ideal for leisurely rides with friends |
PUB | Short routes to local pubs. Also make good beginner or family rides |
SCR | Short Cafe Rides. Circular rides under 20 miles to cafes in the Chiltern Hills near Goring. |
Bike Type | What the surface is like beneath the wheels |
Road | Suitable for all types of bike, including skinny-tyred road bikes |
Off-road | Mainly bridleways. Surface may be loose or muddy |
Hybrid | Mainly tarmac, but including short distances on bridleways or roads with poor surfaces unsuitable for skinny-tyred road bikes |
